Climate Aware Therapy
What is Climate-Aware Therapy?
Climate change can trigger intense emotions in people who care deeply about conserving our natural environment and protecting the lives of humans and other beings, now and in the future. These emotions come in different forms: ecological grief, solastalgia, climate anxiety, powerlessness, guilt, empathy, inspiration, and outrage, among others. These are expected and normal reactions to climate change . As a climate-aware therapist, I will explore these emotions with you and help you process and cope with them , as well as address related psychological impacts of climate change and intersecting social injustices.
