Licensed Clinical Psychologist, California PSY24213
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, University of Arizona
B.A. in Psychology, UCLA
Providing psychotherapy services in the Los Angeles area since 2011 and in an outdoor beach setting since 2016.
I integrate various evidence-based techniques to treat anxiety, grief, depression, panic, worry, sleep difficulties, health-related concerns, relationship problems, and challenges related to life transitions. I focus on ways to overcome your personal challenges, while I hold space and provide practical tools for you to cope with the bigger issues, such as sociopolitical problems and climate change. I work with adults of all ages and have a special interest in helping high school seniors cope with their unique challenges as they prepare for adulthood.
Approach
My approach focuses on building resilience and skills you can carry with you for the rest of your life. I provide a compassionate and empowering space for you to deeply connect with yourself as we immerse in nature. The peacefulness of the beach supports my nonjudgmental and nurturing style, promoting healing and growth so that you can thrive. Together we will ensure that your goals align with your values to help you build a happier, more authentic life.
I believe self-compassion to be at the heart of emotional healing, and compassion, in general, guides my approach in therapy. I believe that reconnecting with or deepening our interbeing with our natural environment plays an essential role in healing our minds, our hearts, our bodies, and our spirits. I feel grateful for the privilege of getting to know my clients intimately and to witness their growth as they achieve a better balance and live more happily.
Philosophy
My mission is to bring people to the beach and watch them discover their authenticity as we work together, fully immersed in nature. This outdoor therapy experience is an alternative to conventional psychotherapy, accessible to those might benefit from calming their nervous system and expanding their emotional capacity during psychotherapy.
My work reflects values such as compassion, safety, authenticity, trust, dignity, justice, balance, calm, diversity, integrity, equity, love, inclusion, courage, joy, growth, health, peace, and sustainability.
