Grief Support Group

I offer grief support to groups, privately and in a public community grief circle format to help you process loss and bereavement, and learn how to cope with the difficult emotions accompanying grief.

As social beings who historically lived in “villages,” we are not equipped to grieve alone. The complexity of grief is too much for us to endure in isolation, and our emotions are validated and supported in proper communal spaces. Here we recognize that we are not alone in our experience of sorrow and other, often conflicting emotions related to loss.

Support Groups provide a respectful and safe circle of trust where listening to each other and sharing a ritual can leave us feeling lighter, connected, and warm. Loss is not something we get over, rather grieving is a process that requires intentional effort and time in a supportive space. Avoiding the grieving process can create unnecessary anxiety, while support groups can encourage moving through the difficult emotions in community.
